The pool was a great spot for the kids, and the direct access to the casino added a fun adult twist to our evenings. The interior was charming and spacious. Plus, we loved the easy access to the beach nearby.

Liked the room and the staff. Liked the breakfast buffet. Liked proximity to ocean.
Didn't like being given an awful table next to the kitchen at dinner and being told the other tables were reserved when clearly they were not. We left as the restaurant was ending service- no late appearing reserved diners in evidence. We were a well dressed, French-speaking American couple. I can only assume it was because the hostess heard my accent. In a ace this touristy and expensive, that kind of attitude should no longer be an issue.

It is an elegant building, the rooms are well-appointed and reasonably large for the kids to play video games in. The setting is amazing and lovely, just next door to great shops and restaurants, and both the beach and the city center. The employees are all very welcoming and consistently courteous...

The truth you're looking for
This amazing hotel is steeped in history and charm. Its location allows easy access to a fine beach and local shops. I was wowed by the breakfast selection. The high parking fees and inconsistent service detracted from the experience. Prepare for a bustling breakfast rush but enjoy the captivating surroundings.

Couldn't recommend more for a mini-vacation
Charming hotel, friendly staff, with a lovely breakfast buffet that set us up for a great day exploring the city and an indoor swimming pool that provided a nice way to unwind after our adventures.
No issues here.

It is a beautiful hotel, light green half-timbering makes it a wonderful example of Anglo-Norman architecture. Rooms are elegant, spacious enough, with abundance of closet space and comfortable beds. Location is superb. Some rooms have balconies facing the inside garden or water. Services of the business center are free. The beach is right near. There is paid parking in the hotel and if you prefer a free one, you may find it on the near by street - 3 min walk.
BREAKFAST:In my view, breakfast at the hotel was not good, because of the scares variety. I suggest ordering croissants and coffee in the lobby bar or taking a 3 mim walk to the near by Celebrity cafe or any other place, instead. The breakfast room and the outside seating provide for great ambiance, though. So do this at least once. Spa: Unfortunately, spa menu is in french only, and appointments could be scheduled via concierge only. Even though our concierge was very friendly, he had a difficult time translating treatment details, so we ended up going to a different place. Overall, we had a nice stay, but somehow you do not feel cared for enough for the price. So, this is a good place to stay for its historical value and beauty.

The normandy is a beautiful old hotel situated in the middle of Deauville next door to the Casino and near the beach ,shops and one of the race courses. The staff provide a very high level of service as you would expect at these prices. The room was in fine decorative order and all of the modern services were available. I did not get time to eat in the restuarant but can recomend the cocktail bar.
The building is old and the standard room might appear a little small compared to modern 5 star accomadation
